The School of Dentistry at the University of Jordan launched today a free dental awareness and examination campaign for university students, in collaboration with the Jordanian Hashemite Fund and Zain Company. This initiative is part of joint efforts to raise health awareness and provide comprehensive medical services to students.
The campaign activities were sponsored by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Zaid Al-Bitar, and attended by Dr. Nayef Al-Abdallat as a representative of the Jordanian Hashemite Fund. Mobile clinics from the Fund and Zain Company were used to provide initial examinations, with further treatment services to be completed later at the university’s student clinics, under the supervision of faculty members and specialized doctors.
The campaign will last for a week and includes a range of dental services such as fillings, dentures, root canal treatments, tooth extractions, gum treatments, and fixed prosthetics.
The campaign witnessed wide participation from students, along with the attendance of several faculty members and representatives from specialized health sectors, highlighting the importance of the initiative and its role in serving the university community.
It is worth noting that the campaign is being held at the mobile clinics of the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development and Zain Company near the Deanship of Student Affairs within the university campus.
