School of Dentistry launched the first awareness campaign on oral and dental diseases

The first awareness campaign organized by the School of Dentistry at the University of Jordan was launched, under the direction of the University President, Dr. Nadhir Obeidat. This campaign targets students from the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology and the School of Rehabilitation Sciences, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance health awareness on campus.

The campaign is part of the clinical requirements for fifth-year students at the School of Dentistry, with active participation from internship doctors and direct supervision by faculty members. Its goal is to combine practical training with community service within the university.

The activities included a series of educational videos and interactive presentations, as well as simulation models of clinical cases, all presented in a simplified and effective manner to explain medical concepts related to oral and dental health.

This initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of oral health care and the prevention of related diseases. It is also in line with the University of Jordan’s vision to empower students to engage in community roles and broaden health education across various faculties.

The organizers of the campaign confirmed that it will continue in the coming period, expanding to other faculties, in a step that reinforces the university’s pioneering role in serving the community and promoting public health among students.
