The Dental Well-being Society for dental students at the University of Jordan was inaugurated on Thursday, October 31, 2024, under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Professor Zaid Al-Bitar.
The establishment of the society was initiated by faculty member Dr. Marwa Al-Nasour. The ceremony included several parts, including an introductory session that reviewed the society's teams and their role in supporting dental students. Dr. Ahmad Abu Doush, from the Department of Psychology at the University of Jordan, also gave a lecture titled “My Life as a Dental Student: Where Is My Journey Going?” in which he discussed the psychological challenges faced by dental students.
The goal of the Dental Well-being Society is to bring dental students together under a supportive umbrella, offering encouragement during times of challenge, supporting them through difficult moments, and providing a balanced environment that fosters a new culture prioritizing mental health.
