·       PLO 1 Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the discipline of orthodontics and relate academic knowledge to clinical practice
·       PLO 2 Demonstrate clinical competence in all modern orthodontic treatment modalities including and not limited to various fixed and removable orthodontic appliances and temporary anchorage devices and Describe and employ clinical steps, treatment strategies and treatment mechanics that need to be used to achieve the desired treatment result.              
·       PLO 3 Analyse data obtained from patient history and examination and formulate definitive treatment objectives and a detailed treatment plan that fulfills such objectives and Demonstrate the ability to formulate alternative treatment plans for the same patient in the presence of clinical, psychological or financial limitations
·       PLO 4 Assess the need for orthodontic treatment, in the context of general and oral health.
·       PLO 5 Plan and apply interceptive orthodontic treatment measures for the management of children at risk and prevent the development of future orthodontic problems.
·       PLO 6 Demonstrate competence at identifying the appropriate clinical approach for the management of patients with cranio-facial anomalies including timing of treatment in relation to physical and psychological developments and Demonstrate the ability to formulate an interdisciplinary care plan as part of an active team for the management of patients with cranio-facial anomalies.
·       PLO 7 Demonstrate the ability to assess treatment outcomes and analyze results of treatment with a view to critically self-appraise and further develop clinical skills.
·       PLO 8 Develop critical skills necessary for scientific appraisal and enquiry that relate to orthodontics.
·       PLO 9 Conduct a scientific research project relevant to orthodontics and produce a publishable dissertation and defend it before a panel of experts
·       PLO 10  Employ concepts of medical ethics and social values when offering treatment to orthodontic patients and apply appropriate communication skills competently with patients, parents and other healthcare professionals
·       PLO 11 Demonstrate the ability for continuous learning, professional development, critical thinking and problem solving.
·       PLO 12 Use information technology in clinical practice effectively to monitor, manage, analyze, and transfer information and employ it for future use.
