The School of Dentistry Participates in the Health Day "Your Health Matters 5" at Princess Sumaya University for Technology

As part of its commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to promoting health awareness, the School of Dentistry at the University of Jordan participated in the activities of the health day event "Your Health Matters 5," organized by Princess Sumaya University for Technology under the leadership of Professor Dr. Wijdan Abu Al-Heija, in collaboration with the Hashemite Charity Fund.

The event featured free medical consultations and examinations, along with a range of awareness activities aimed at university students.

Twelve fifth-year students from the School of Dentistry participated, along with an intern doctor and a resident in oral medicine, under the supervision of a distinguished group of faculty members.

During the event, the health team provided guidance and education on oral and dental health, as well as information on oral tumors. They also conducted free clinical examinations for students and staff at Princess Sumaya University for Technology.

The health services benefited more than 70 students and staff members. Medical files were opened for 33 of them in preparation for referral to the dental clinics at the University of Jordan Hospital to receive appropriate, free treatment.

This participation is part of a series of health initiatives implemented by the Faculty, in support of community-based programs and in reinforcement of the principle of early prevention and treatment within society.
