Three of The Shool of Dentistry Researchers among World's Top 2% Scientists List

Three academics from the School of Dentistry / University of Jordan (UJ) have been listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists list, a prestigious ranking that highlights the most influential researchers across a broad range of scientific fields.

This recognition, which is based on data from the Scopus database and Elsevier, highlights the university's sustained academic and research excellence across various scientific disciplines.

This list serves as a global tool for assessing researchers' scientific impact. It relies on several indicators, including citation count, h-index, and the composite c-score, which measures scientific impact regardless of publication volume, while also accounting for different authorship roles (e.g., first or last author).

The ranking includes data on research impact throughout scientists' academic careers, as well as their impact in the past year alone (2024).

It draws from a variety of citation metrics; researchers are included on the list either by being among the top 100,000 researchers globally according to the c-score, or by being among the top 2% in their specific sub-specialities.

This achievement represents a significant qualitative addition to UJ's journey as a hub for distinguished research. It reaffirms the university's commitment to enhancing its global scientific presence by providing society with knowledge, innovation, and robust research contributions that advance science and serve development locally and internationally.
